If you decide to cancel your Website Care Plan, your website will remain live, but you will be responsible for ongoing maintenance, security, and updates.
If We Host Your Website
- You can downgrade to a hosting-only plan, which keeps your site running on our servers without the additional care plan services.
- You are free to transfer your website to another host if you prefer, but you’ll need to handle the migration process. We can assist with this for an additional fee.
What You’ll Need to Manage on Your Own
Once your Care Plan is canceled, you’ll take over responsibility for:
- Website Backups – Ensuring regular backups in case of data loss.
- Security Monitoring – Scanning for malware and protecting against vulnerabilities.
- Software Updates – Keeping WordPress, your theme, and plugins up to date to prevent issues.
- Performance Optimization – Monitoring and improving your site’s speed and reliability.
- Troubleshooting Issues – Fixing technical problems that may arise.

Premium Plugin Licenses
If your plan included premium plugins such as Elementor Pro, Divi, Video User Manuals, or WP Rocket, you will need to purchase your own licenses. Your website will still function without them, but you won’t be able to receive updates, which can pose a security risk.
Affordable Alternatives
If cost is a concern, we offer two options:
- Hosting-Only Plan – Keeps your site live on our servers, but you’ll handle all maintenance.
- Maintenance-Only Plan – We’ll continue handling essential updates, backups, and security without the full support of a Care Plan.
If you’re interested in one of these options or need help transitioning, reach out to us at wpsupport@privatepracticeelevation.com, and we’ll guide you through the best solution for your needs.
