How Do I Track My Website Traffic?

Modified on Mon, 14 Jul at 1:30 PM

Tracking your website traffic is key to understanding how people are finding and interacting with your private practice website. One of the best tools for this is Google Analytics.

What is Google Analytics?

Google Analytics is a free tool from Google that shows you how many people are visiting your site, where they’re coming from, which pages they visit, and how long they stay. This information can help you make smarter decisions about your marketing and your website content.

If We Built Your Website

If Private Practice Elevation built your website, you should already have Google Analytics set up. You should also have access to the account we created during the website build. If you’re unsure or can’t find your login, email us at careplans@privatepracticeelevation.com, and we’ll help you get connected.

If You Don’t Have Google Analytics Yet

No worries! You can easily set it up yourself by creating a free account at analytics.google.com.

Once you’ve created your account and property:

  1. Add your website as a data stream.

  2. Share access with our team by adding privatepracticeelevation2024@gmail.com as a user with "Editor" permissions.

Here’s a helpful guide to get started with Google Analytics:

Once it’s set up, we can help ensure it’s tracking properly and even install the tracking code on your site if needed.
