Our care plans offer a preventative approach to making sure your website is secure with the most up-to-date software. But unfortunately, hacking can still occur. If you suspect that your website has been hacked, it’s important to act quickly to minimize any damage and restore your site’s security.
Here’s What to Do:
Contact Our Support Team Immediately
If your website is managed under our Trekker or Sherpa Care Plans, you're covered. We include security monitoring and malware cleanup as part of your plan. Please reach out right away by emailing support@privatepracticeelevation.com with the subject line “URGENT: Website Security Issue.”
Include any details about what you’ve noticed—such as suspicious behavior, warning messages, or missing content.
For Day Hiker Plan Clients
Your plan includes 30 minutes per month of support. If we determine that more time is needed to resolve the issue, you can purchase a one-off task so our team can fully remove the malware and restore your site.
If Your Website Is Not Hosted With Us
If your website is hosted elsewhere, the best place to begin is by contacting your hosting provider’s support team. They can often determine server-related issues and may be able to restore your site quickly.
What You Can Expect From Us
A prompt reply, typically within 24 hours on business days.
A full security scan and cleanup of malware or unauthorized code (see above note for Day Hiker plan).
Password and plugin resets, if needed.
Recommendations to strengthen your site’s future security.
